A Fuzzy Controller for PFN Trigger Time Sequence in Electromagnetic Railgun System

Abstract For the electromagnetic launch system, how to realize wide pulse, fast rise, and small fluctuation of pulse forming network output current is a core problem. A trigger time sequence control method based on fuzzy theory for proposed in this paper. First, circuit models unit, network, rail launcher established. Second, controller model designed by using Simulink. Third, fixed discharge tests consisting 20 pulsed units linear simulation load are carried out verify accuracy model. Finally, railgun precision respectively. The results show that can obtain ideal sequence, which demonstrates pragmatic reliability algorithm.
